In the wake of the prognosis on James Reimer’s left knee, the Maple Leafs have opted to recall goaltender Jussi Rynnas, rather than looking outside of the organization for someone to back up Ben Scrivens.

Negative!!!

Thats the best move rt now.. Problem is does anyone really think Reimer will only be out a week? That type of injury reeks of a month

Luongo would be a good fit in Toronto... he's the best goalie in the NHL right now... couldn't hurt.

they need two goalies on the roaster while they look else where hopefulyl free agency. sign a good veteran guy to back up scrivy short term even if its just a week. They will bring a good mentor approach to the young guys

Nooooooo!!! We don't want this contract.
You don't throw away the next decade because your #1 is hurt for a week!

Scrivens can handle the next 6 games. Luckily no back to backs.

Lundqvist would be a good fit in Toronto as well but that will not happen as much as Luongo will not

Reimer seems to get injured a lot, not sure he can carry the load.

I would say he's going to be out more like 3-4 weeks instead of a week.

That's a decision for the off season. Luongo and his debilitating contract isn't the answer regardless.
